About Us
We created these group norms after we had been hanging out together for a while and we hope it helps you learn a little more about The OUTpost.

We are committed to new people not feeling like “The New Person” and we promise to explain what’s going on here.
We accept and welcome diversity including sexual orientation, gender identity and religious beliefs (or none).
We promise to respect the space where we gather, clean up after ourselves, and pay attention to others around us.
We listen to each other and are respectful when other people are talking. We prioritize everyone’s comfort - you are always free to pass. We have one group conversation, not groups talking to each other.
We encourage members to participate and everyone’s voice is valuable.
We can express our prayers (gratitude and concerns) in our prayer journal and we can choose to be anonymous.
We are committed to the physical and emotional safety of all members. Adults are background checked and trained according to the Episcopal Diocese of Texas Safeguarding Guidelines so we can be a safe space. Also, what is said here, stays here. We’re pretty serious about safety.
